My research develops data-driven methods that learn from limited and evolving evidence, quantify uncertainty, and guide better decisions in complex systems.

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial and Management Systems Engineering at West Virginia University. I joined WVU in 2021 and direct the Systems Analytics Lab.

My research develops efficient, scalable, and adaptive learning algorithms for data-limited, evolving, and complex systems. My methodological work spans sequential learning, Bayesian optimization, multi-armed bandits, reinforcement learning, foundation models, unsupervised learning, and spatiotemporal modeling. I translate these advances into decision tools for autonomous experimentation, smart manufacturing, health informatics, energy systems, and object tracking.

I received my PhD in Industrial Engineering from Texas A&M University in 2020, where I completed my doctoral training under the supervision of Dr. Yu Ding, now the Anderson-Interface Chair and Professor at Georgia Tech and a Fellow of IISE, ASME, and INFORMS. My dissertation focused on unsupervised anomaly detection for high-dimensional data embedded in low-dimensional manifolds. I received my BS and MS degrees in Industrial and Production Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.

My work has appeared in IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence, Journal of Machine Learning Research, IEEE Transactions on Automation Science and Engineering, Journal of Manufacturing Systems, npj Advanced Manufacturing, PLOS ONE, and other journals. My students have received national research awards and finalist recognitions from INFORMS, IISE, and SME.
